I recently joined the Akaroa day tour from Christchurch, and it was the highlight of my New Zealand trip! The drive from Christchurch to Akaroa was absolutely stunning — we passed through Sumner, Lyttelton, and Gebbies Pass, with amazing coastal views and several scenic photo stops along the way. Akaroa itself is a beautiful little town full of charm and history. It truly feels like a piece of France tucked away in New Zealand. I had plenty of time to explore the village, try some local food, and relax by the waterfront. One of the best things to do in Akaroa is the optional Akaroa Harbour Cruise — I chose to add it to my tour and got to see dolphins, seals, and amazing sea birds up close! Our guide was friendly, informative, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. The tour was well-paced, comfortable, and stress-free. I especially appreciated the small touches, like the included bottled water and stops at local gems like Little River. I strongly recommend the trip to Mount Cook. I'm quite happy that I booked it. Great stops were made at Lake Tekapo and another, much more stunning lake! Mt. Cook is really stunning and spectacular. Despite being a long day, it didn't feel that way. This Mount Cook tour was so excellent that I would give it even more stars if I could.

Amazing mount cook tour. comfortable minibus with several stops for refreshments and photos. Singh, our driver, was really interesting and informative. The views at Mount Cook and Lake Pukaki were amazing. Fortunately, the sky surrounding the top was clear.

You must see Mount Cook from Christchurch or Queenstown if you're traveling in New Zealand. The driver was really helpful, and the day was quite pleasant.
